Call of the International Automotive Workers Coordination for May Day 2017 and the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28th

on .

Let’s Build up and Strengthen the Automotive Workers Coordination!

May Day must not be only a celebration, but a day of struggle of the working class for its common goals, because the gains are always the result of an continual struggle. The capitalists want to reverse the gains workers have won, and launch ever new attacks to maximize profits through super-exploitation. The increasing competition between multinational monopolies, and the chaos of the capitalist market lead to economic and political crises, worsening working conditions for workers and the livelihood of their families. This also leads to wars causing the migration of millions of people and refugee crises. An arms race has started and growing militarization and spreading of wars.

Call of the International Automotive Workers Coordination for May Day 2016 and the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28th

Automobile workers, let us make May Day a day to overcome the division in corporations and nations - and to a worldwide day of struggle of the automotive workers for wages, jobs and protection of the environment!

The automotive workers are leading important struggles worldwide against dismissals, lowering of wages, plant closures and for trade union rights: like the Renault colleagues in Turkey, the GM workforces in Brazil, India, Colombia and Germany, the Tata workers in India, the Lear workers in South Africa, Daimler workers in Germany or VW workforces in various countries.

Criteria for country reports for the preparation of the delegations at the

1st International Automotive Workers' Conference 2015

Dear colleagues.

With their reports, delegations report about the situation of automotive workers, their struggles and the advances of the militant workers' movements in their respective countries. Every county report will be translated and published on the website of the conference. During the conference, presentations will be showed by continents (6), with a time limit of 30 minutes. Reports by continents will also be translated and published on the website of the conference also. Every delegation will have to send its report up to July 1st 2015 in order to allow for the important work of translation. The ICOG has fixed the following criteria as a guideline for the country reports, in order that all reports of the continents can have a similar structure and to facilitate the synthesis of the information.
